Dr. Raoul Henson has been doing Lasik refractive surgery for the past 11 years. He trained under the tutelage of Dr. Jesus Vidaurri at the Centro Oftalmologica San Jose in Monterrey, Mexico. Dr. Vidaurri was a protégé of Dr. Jose Barraquer of Colombia, the father of modern refractive surgery. Dr. Henson also trained in Lasik surgery under Dr. Jay Schwartz at the Schwartz Laser Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Schwartz is the official ophthalmologist of the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Dr. Henson does LASIK at The Lasik Surgery Clinic – Angeles University Foundation Medical Center in Angeles City, Philippines. It is a subsidiary of the Singapore Medical Group. Dr. Henson uses the latest in excimer laser technology – the VISX Star S4 with iris registration technology. He also does Intralase Lasik surgery or I-Lasik.
